Sara Lois Howard, 77, of Woodbury, died March 15 at West Georgia Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted March 18 at Faith Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Bowden officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers and burial was at Meriwether Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Howard was born August 26, 1922 in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Ben Tucker McCoy and the late Minnie Mae Smith McCoy. She was retired from Nabisco Company in the packing department and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Gene Howard of Woodbury, David Howard of Manchester, and Kennith Howard of Stark, Florida; two daughters, Bonnie Waddell and Connie Thompson, both of Woodbury; two sisters, Lilla Mae Head of Woodbury and Frances Moore of Manchester; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Charlie Eugene Howard.

Smith-Steele-Meadows Funeral Home of Woodbury was in charge of arrangements.
