Curtis Dale Reeves, 77, of Galax passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA. Mr. Reeves was born Thursday, December 13, 1934 in Grayson County, Va to Guyn & Ethel Dixon Reeves. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sons Jimmy Reeves and Jessie Hankins. He is survived by his wife, Helen Faye Reeves of the home; children & their spouses, Linda & Larry Bennethun of New Holland, PA; JoAnn & Raymond Bennett of Honey Brook, PA; Charlotte Lapp of Woodlawn; Carol & Dave Lammey of Woodlawn; Frances Woods of Little Britain, PA; Marie Smith of Galax; Curtis Wade & Joyce Reeves of Honey Brook, PA; Roger Lee & Sharon Reeves of Limerick, PA; Charles & Vickie Reeves of Galax; Bobby & Michelle Reeves of North East, MD; Stevie & Michelle Reeves of Kirkwood, PA; Johnny Corbun of NC. Also surviving are sister Linda Hawks of Galax, Va, three brothers Thomas Reeves, Mack Reeves and Larry Reeves of NC, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Cas Horton and the Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. Interment will follow in the Crab Creek Cemetery, Alleghany County, NC. The family will receive friends Monday evening (November 12, 2012) from 7 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
