Junius El Marion Driggs was born on 28 June 1907 in Driggs, Teton, Idaho, USA. He lived in Driggs, Fremont, Idaho in 1910.35 He died on 8 July 1994 in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona. He was buried in Green Acres - Scottsdale, Maricopa, Arizona. He attended school at Driggs, Idaho, and worked on the family dry farm in summer until his family moved to Mesa, Arizona in June 1921 just prior to his 14th birthday. He completed high school at Mesa andPhoenix, sold life insurance a while, then accomplished a mission for TheChurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England in 1929. Upon his return to Phoenix he was associated with Western Building & Loan Association with which he spent his entire business career, becoming president in 1965. Active in civic affairs, he and his brother, Douglas, were co-recipients of the Annual Brotherhood Award of the National Council ofChristians and Jews in 1969. He is past president of Phoenix OptimistClub, active in Boy Scouts, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which he served as Bishop, Stake President, Priesthood HomeTeaching Correlation Committee, Temple President (Mesa, Arizona), and Stake Patriarch. His middle name "ElMarion" was discovered to be spelled without a space on birth certificate even though for most of his life it was spelled as "El Marion".
