Ira first married Ella Mabel Gerald on 8/10/1890, in Upson County, GA they had two children; Mary Elizabeth and William Samuel. He later married Ada Margaret Fallin on 12/5/1897. Together they raised three sons; George W., Fred C. and Ira A.,Jr. Four daughters; May Bell, Mattie Lee, Florie Aline and Gladys Ione. Ira was the son of Samuel Jefferson and Mary Jane Parker DeLoach. He was born in and lived most of his life in Upson County, Thomaston, GA. He was my great grandfather.
I am told he was a true "Southern Gentleman."

Headstone inscription reads: "He died as he lived - a christian."
