Don Bier was the son of the late Clarence Bier and the late Nellie McCollum Bier. He married Marilyn Goetsch Fields on July 15, 1978.
Don is survived by his wife, Marilyn Goetsch Fields Bier of Normal; three sons, Donn (Shirley) Bier of Claremont; Curtis (Deb) Bier of Belleville; and Jeff Fields of Normal; two daughters, Cheryl Reichert of Bloomington and Lori (Mark) Rusher of Normal; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin and Katrina Bier; Andrea, Brendan and Bryan Reichert, and Aimee and Austin Rusher; one great-granddaughter, Amanda; two sisters, Margaret (Wilbur) Goodlick of Bloomington and Edie Stubblefield of Eureka.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one great-grandson.
