George Washington Bonsell
George W. Bonsell of 208 Shippen Street, a well known retired Fireman for the PRR died suddenly at home at 2:40 pm on September 03, 1939. Mr. Bonsell had not been ill. He was born at the Tyrone Forge on 6/4/1855. On July 22, 1874, he was united in marriage with Delilah Miller who passed away on 8/4/1925.
In 1926, he married Alice M. Leeper. He is survived by his wife and the following sons and daughters: John Bonsell, Chambersburg, Pa.; Mrs. Annie Alley, Pinecroft; George Bonsell, Thomastown, Pa.; Mrs. Elsie Evans and Edward Bonsell, Tyrone; James Bonsell, Spruce Creek and Annie Barbara Bonsell of Hollidaysburg. Mr. Bonsell served the PRR faithfully for over 49 years, having retired from active service on July 1, 1920. He was a member of the B of LE and E and the First United Brethern Church.
