Mickey C. Baker, 69, of Dayton, died Saturday, October 23, 2010, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Mickey was born September 29, 1941 in Oenaville, to parents; John M. and Edna Stone Baker, a former resident of Temple, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 40 years. He was a graduate of the Little River – Academy High School, retired process technician from Exxon of Baytown after 30 years of employment, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel, gardening, and barbecuing.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his father: John Milton Baker and wife: Wendy Parsons Baker. He is survived by his sons: Randy Baker and wife Michelle of Dayton and Robert Baker of Dayton, daughter: Cathy Baker Kloesel and husband Mark of LaPorte, grandchildren: Ashley and Laura Kloesel and Chloe Baker, mother: Edna Stone Baker of Temple, brother: John Baker and wife Bobbie of Temple, sister: Linda Rister of Georgetown, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
