Born in Brown Township, Hendricks County, Indiana, Jonathan A. Logan was a son of Benjamin M. and Margaret Logan. He married Emaline Buzzard in Hendricks County on March 14, 1871. The 1880 Census shows Jonathan A. (age 33) and Emeline (age 30) Logan living in Brownsburg with daughter Alma (age 3) and son Elva (age 1). The 1900 Census shows Jonathan (age 53) and Emeline (age 50) living in Union Township with daughter Lula M. (age 18), son Cleavland R. (age 14), son Cleo R. (age 14) and son Leone T. (age 10). The 1910 Census shows Jonathan (age 63) and Eveline (age 60) living in Indianapolis with son Elva (age 32), daughter Lola (probably Mary Lula, age 28) and son Leone (age 21). The 1920 Census shows J. A. Logan (age 72) and wife E. (age 69) living in Wayne Township, Marion County with son E. A. (Elva, age 40) and his wife A. Logan (age 37).

Logan - Jonathan A., beloved husband of Emaline Logan, Thursday evening, Nov. 10, age 74 years. Funeral Sunday, Nov. 13, 9:30 a.m. at late residence, 960 Olin ave. Friends invited. Burial K of P cemetery, Lizton, Ind. about noon Sunday.

Jonathan Logan, formerly a resident of this place and father of Mrs. Newton Tharp, died at his home in Indianapolis, Thursday, Nov. 10th at the age of 74 years, and was buried at the K. of P. cemetery at Lizton, Sunday.

Lizton - John Logan died at Indianapolis Friday. The remains were brought here Sunday for burial in the K. of P. cemetery. Mr. Logan was a resident of this place for a number of years.
