Mortuary
William Friedrich Splettstoesser, one of Grand Island's older and highly respected residents, died at his home, 510 West John street, at about 1:45 Tuesday, following a rather extended illness. He was age 73 years, 7 months and 25 days. For a period of forty years, Mr. Splettstoesser, together with his faithful helpmate, had resided in a little home on West John street, leading a quiet but very active life, industrious, frugal and thrifty. Besides his widow, who has been in poor health for a number of years, he is survived by several grown children. Funeral services will be held from the O'Loughlin-Livingston chapel on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Schumann conducting the services. Burial will take place in the Grand Island cemetery.
