Funeral services for Josie Lee McDaniel, pioneer resident of Roger Mills County, were held Wednesday at the Durham school auditorium with Rev. Sanford Cole and Rev. Ernest Sanderson in charge of the services. Committal was in the Fairview cemetery under the direction of Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne.
Mr. McDaniel passed away at his residence near Durham Sunday February 14 after suffering from heart trouble. He was born November 14, 1986 at Pauls Valley and married Ida Stephenson at Cheyenne February 16, 1920. He had resided in Roger Mills County practically all of his life coming here in 1899.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs Ida McDaniel, two daughters, Mrs. Dovie Felder of Cheyenne and Mrs. Billie Rae Dollar of Carey, Texas; three sons, Jack, Leonard and Bobbie Lee all of Durham; one brother Henry McDaniel of Cheyenne and one sister Mrs. Mattie Leonard of Canippa, Texas.
