Alma G. Ward, 77, of Grantsville died June 11, 2002, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.

Mrs. Ward was born Oct. 30, 1924, a daughter of the late Andy and Josie Stutler Craddock.

She was employed by Calhoun General Hospital as a cook for 19 years. She was a foster grandparent at Brooksville Grade School and Pleasant Hill Elementary.

She is survived by one sister, Cozetta Smith of Grantsville; one nephew, Albert "Bim" Smith of Grantsville; two nieces, Lillie Smith of Parkersburg and Mary Ball of Grantsville; one great-niece, Jamaylca Smith of Worthington, Ky.; and four great-nephews, Joseph Smith of Grantsville, Todd Smith of Spencer, Danny Ball of Parkersburg and Michael Ball of Grantsville; one great-great-niece, Brooklyn Smith of Harrisville, and two great-great-nephews, Douglas and Gregory Smith of Terra Alta, W.Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Josie Craddock; her husband, Bryan Ward; one son, Bryan Ward, Jr.; and a sister, Ann Craddock.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, the Rev. Alfred Hickman will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today
