Esther Regina Leppek was born on December 14, 1929 in Paris Township, Michigan. Her proud parents were Paul Leppek and Frances (Woytlmenz) Leppek and they were of Polish and German descent. She died on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren, Michigan. She was 82 of age.

Esther was a former resident of Royal Oak, Michigan and Parisville, Michigan. She was a graduate of Harbor Beach High School. She was a longtime owner and operator of Esther's Catering. She was a former employee of Jim Robins Manufacturing Company and, after retiring, she was employed at Friends Café in Troy, Michigan. She was an active and devoted volunteer at St. Columban Church, National Shrine of the Little Flower and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed bingo, bowling and creating afgans for pre-mature infants and the homeless. She volunteered to drive senior citizens to the appointments.

Dear mother of Sandra F. Smith (David), Paul S. Cook, Cynthia A. Kochis (Terry) and the late Susan M. Cook. Loving grandmother of Hannah, William and Stacie. Sister of James (Marta), Teresa Partyka (Leonard), Zita Peters (Richard), Jeannie Raymo and the late Rose Palmer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Former wife of the late Irvin F. Cook.
