Admitted to the hospital Friday, the child underwent a tonsillectomy Saturday morning. Complications set in Saturday afternoon after she seemed to be recovering from surgery.
Her father, a partner in the law firm of White and Haymond, is district U.S. commissioner for Indiana. The child was a pupil at Forest Park School and a member of the Primary Class of College Avenue Methodist Sunday School.
Also surviving are two brothers, John B. Jr., and Billy; a sister, Catherine, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Beasley and Mr. and Mrs. Ora Butz, all of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Meeks Mortuary. The Rev. Donald G. Barnes will officiate and burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary any time.
