Paullette Light Jones, 66, of Millsap, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, in a Fort Worth Hospital surrounded by family.

Paulette was born on Aug. 25, 1946, in Weatherford to Gene and Pauline Light. Her school years were spent in Weatherford and upon completion of high school (WHS Class of 1964), she began her working career at Fort Wolters in 1964. Prior to its closure, she moved to Carswell Air Force Base, then on to Dallas to work for the Internal Revenue Service, where she retired from in 2001. After retirement, she moved back to Parker County to be near her family and "to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and live the country life again." In 2004, she built her home on the family farm where she enjoyed her flowers and working on the family genealogy. Paulette enjoyed traveling, especially cruising with friends. Some of her travels took her to Europe, the Middle East, Central and South American and the Panama Canal, with the accomplishment of being in all 50 states plus several other territories of the United States. She had dreams of visiting Ireland, the homeland of her maternal ancestors.

Survivors include her sisters, Donice Way and husband, Jimmy, and Shirley Yandell, all of Millsap; nieces, Tracy King and husband, Jay, of Millsap; Tela Gill and husband, David, of Rock Wall, and Vickie Sanders and husband, Lee, of DeLeon; nephew, Mike Yandell and wife, Patricia, of Weatherford; great-nephews, Kaden and Lane King, of Millsap; great-niece Ashley Valdez, of DeLeon and great-nephew Christopher Valdez, of Mineral Wells; great-niece Frances Yandell and great-nephews William and Matthew Yandell, of Weatherford; and numerous friends and family near and far.

A memorial service will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at 2 p.m.

Paulette's request was for friends and family to come together to celebrate her life and speak of memories they had together.
