John Bradley King McWhorter, 28, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky., with his loving family at his side.
He was born January 27, 1984, a son of Carrie Clouse McWhorter of Ironton and Michael King (Brenda) McWhorter of Catlettsburg, Ky.
He was a 2003 graduate of Ironton High School and of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nancy Hamrick Clouse.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother, Michael Brandon McWhorter, three sisters, Bethany McWhorter Pemberton and Brianna Nicole McWhorter all of Ironton, and Brittany McWhorter Miller of Russell, Ky., his maternal grandparents, Oran and Mary Jane Clouse, his paternal grandparents, Raymond King McWhorter and his wife Cynthia of Georgetown, Ky., and Barbara McWhorter Mowery and her husband Jim of Wurtland, Ky., and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the neighborhood church, Faith United Church of the Nazarene located at Third and Elm streets in Ironton, with Pastor Jean Ratliff presiding. Burial will follow in the Sugarcreek Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church.
