Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Friday, March 31, 1933

Friends in this city have been advised of the death of Mrs. Georgina Sutherland, long a well known resident of Grand Island, which occurred at 3:30 0'clock, Friday morning, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harley Anderson, in Omaha. Mrs. Sutherland had been ailing for many months.

The body will be brought to this city for funeral services and burial in the family plot in the Grand Island cemetery. Rites will be held at 2:30 o'clock, Monday afternoon, at St. Stephen's Episcopal church, Bishop Beecher, of Hastings, officiating.

Immediate members of the family surviving to mourn her passing, besides Mrs. Anderson, are a daughter, Mrs. Terry Reimers, also residing in Omaha, and a son, Audley. Her husband, in the service of the Union Pacific, preceded her in death about 25 years ago, the victim of a railroad accident, and a son, Jack, was one of Hall county's distinguished dead of the World war.
