Lawrence F. "Larry" Leonard, 74, of Nashua NH, died unexpectedly Dec. 29, 2001, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston MA. Mr. Leonard was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Baltimore MD, son of the late Arthur and Mary (Schnepf) Leonard.

He was the husband of Marguerite (Travers) Leonard, to whom he had been married for 46 years.

Mr. Leonard worked as an engineer for Raytheon in Burlington MA and later as an engineering consultant for the Department of Defense. He was a member of Mensa, and an avid reader, photographer, and ham-radio operator. Mr. Leonard was an Army veteran and served during World War II and the Korean War. He graduated from the Army Signal School and the St. Louis Medical Depot Medical Maintenance Course in Kentucky. He then became an instructor of electronics for the Army. After retirement from the Army, he earned a degree in psychology from the University of Alabama.

Besides his wife, survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Michele Leonard of Merrimack NH; daughter and fiancé Peggy Small and David Severini, both of Amherst NH; granddaughter Alexis Small; and sister Dorothy Griffith of Baltimore.
