Sister Aimee, O.S.U., nee Lorette Bouffard died Friday, October 4, at Inland Hospital in Waterville, Maine. Sister was 97 years old.

Born in Sanford, Maine, child of Edgar and Fabiola Bouffard, Sister at a very young age, entered the Ursuline Sisters Community in Waterville. She pronounced her vows in 1936.

Sister continued her education receiving a B.A. in Elementary Education a St. Joseph College in Windham, Maine, a certificate in Theology from Providence College, Rhode Island, her Master of Education from Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut.

Her ministry over the years has been in the classroom and administration in Ursuline Schools both in Maine and Massachusetts. Sr. Aimee remained an educator until the end of her life. She served as Superior of the Religious Communities in Maine and Massachusetts.

Sister leaves two sisters, Gertrude and Virginia Bouffard, both of Florida, and a brother, Raymond Bouffard of Montreal, Canada.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9-10am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am at Mt. Merici Convent, Saint Angela Way, in Waterville. Committal will follow at Mt. Merici Cemetery.
