"Annette Daniels Gantenbein, loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 in El Paso, Texas.

Annette had an exciting life filled with family, love and an unending zest for adventure, travel, learning and teaching. She was born in North Africa and moved to Paris when she was a child. In 1946, she came to the United States and became a U.S. citizen in 1950. Annette had been a vibrant member of the El Paso Community for the past 40 years. She is recognized as a Gold Star Mother due to the loss of her son; and she took great pride in her affiliation and work with the Vietnam Veterans.

Annette lived a life filled with accomplishments, accolades, and successes. She was an executive chef. She is recognized as an accomplished artist.

She is survived by her husband Robert Gantenbein, six children: Mark, Karen, Gigi, Pam, Brenda and Roger; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. at the graveside at Sunset Cemetery, in Willcox. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association."
