Funeral services for Betty June Kelley were held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Holman-Howe Chapel, Hartville, with Rev. Melvin Moon officiating. Burial will be in the Little Creek Cemetery.

Recorded musical selections were "Angel," "Go Rest High on the Mountain," and "Precious Memories."

Betty June Kelley, daughter of Loman Ervin and Goldie Ruth Hicks Smith, was born Feb. 18, 1945, in Hartville, MO. She departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO, at the age of 67 years, eight months, and six days.

On Dec. 10, 1962, Betty was united in marriage to Lloyd Chester Kelley and together they have shared the past 49 years.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna B. Kelley, who died in infancy; brothers, Ervin Smith, and David Smith; and sisters, Debbie Gould, Zebbie Garner, Marcia Smith, and Bonnie Parsons.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd of the home; children, Judy Kennen and husband Jim of Potosi, MO, Russell Kelley and Judith Ann Kelley, both of Hartville, MO, Mike Kelley and wife Loetta of Lebanon, MO, Jeff Kelley and wife Judy of Richland, MO; two nephews, whom she raised as her own, Chris and Kevin Smith, both of Mountain Grove, MO; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Brenda Smith, Andrew Smith, Robert Smith and Ted Smith; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.

Betty was born in Hartville and spent most of her life in the Hartville, Manes, and Mountain Grove areas of Wright County. She was a loving wife to Lloyd and a devoted homemaker to her family.

In her spare time, Betty enjoyed fishing and gardening. Making sure that her family was taken care of was very important to Betty, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
