Miss Allie Harris, age 26, of Durham married John Albert Reed, age 36, of Elkins on November 15, 1903. Marriage recorded in Washington County, Arkansas marriage book M, page 437.

Mrs. Allie M. Reed, 70, of Elkins died yesterday morning at her home there. She was the widow of the late John Reed.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. _ita Wheeler of Joplin; two sons, Byron of the home and Wayne of Seattle, Wash.; five sisters, Mrs. Sadie Boone, Mrs. Fannie Carrigan, and Miss Esther Harris, Mrs. Cora Collins, all of Elkins and Mrs. Sue Reddingfield [Bedingfield] of Huntsville; two brothers, Ben Harris of Durham and Norman Harris of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren.

Funeral service held at the Elkins Community Church, with burial in Mt. Salem Cemetery. Moore's Funeral Cahpel in charge of arrangments.
