Council Bluffs News - Mrs. Julia H. Kuhn of Garner township, a pioneer settler of Pottawattamie county, died yesterday afternoon at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial hospital, to which she was only removed in the morning. She was 66 years of age and had been ill from stomach trouble but a week. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Downs of this city, and three sons, Frank C., Brick B. and William H. While arrangements have not been completed for the funeral it probably will be held Friday and burial will be in the Garner township cemetery.

Council Bluffs News - The funeral of the late Mrs. Julia H. Kuhn will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the family residence in Garner township, of which deceased was one of the earliest settlers. Rev. D. A. Kuhn of Fort Wayne, Ind., will conduct the services and W. H. Ware of this city will deliver a short address at the request of the family. Burial will be in the Garner township cemetery and the pallbearers will be W. Dillon, J. D. Dillon, E. Grove, Ralph Smith, Raymond Smith and Clyde Matheson.
Mrs. Kuhn leaves one daughter and three sons: Mrs. A. F. Downs and Cyrus F. Kuhn of this city, Brick P. Kuhn of Chicago and W. H. Kuhn, living on the home place in Garner township. She is also survived by two brothers and seven sisters. They are John H. Garner, Mrs. Elizabeth Dillon and Mrs. Louis Smith, all of this city; William Garner of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Jane Price and Mrs. Mary Matheson, both of Weston, Ia.; Mrs. Ellen Sutton of Denver and Mrs. Charles E. Trephagen and Mrs. Alice Carr of Chicago. Her husband died about a year ago.
