Efram Jacobson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Jacobson, pioneer residents of the town of Moe was born June 11, 1883 in Moe township. He passed away at Biwabik, Minn., on Nov. 16, 1941. He had been in an automobile accident the week before on the highway near Biwabik and death was due to injuries received in this accident. He grew to manhood in Moe township where he attended the schools and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On October 13, 1916 he was married to Amanda Julia Ristell in the town of Moe. They farmed in Moe township until the death of his wife about 19 years ago. Three children were born to them, two sons who died in infancy and one surviving daughter Helen Mary. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. John Peterson of Moe and two brothers, Arthur and William. He left Douglas county about 18 years ago and since that time he has lived in Duluth and various places on the iron range. His late home was at Aurora, Minn.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Nov. 23 at the Finnish Lutheran church in Moe township at 1:30 p.m.; Dr. O. O. Gustafson officiating, and interment was made in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were: Alfred Aho, Joe Josephs, Selim Kari, Hjalmar Olson, Henry Thorson and Ivar Siira.
