Miss Martha Hunter, an employee of the State Department for the Aged in Nashville, and formerly of Fayetteville, died suddenly Monday at her residence. She was 55 years old.

Services were conducted Wednesday morning at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. James R. Cullipher officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Miss Hunter, a native of Lincoln County, was the daughter of the late H. G. and Susie Taylor Hunter. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and had been an employee of the State for 35 years.

Survivors include three brothers, Joe Hunter of Nashville, retired Major Mack Hunter of Fairborn, Ohio, and Jerry Hunter of Huntsville; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Pendarvis of Madison and Mrs. Nell Wiley of Winter Park, Florida.
