David Edward Perdue, 68 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg.

He was born in Giles County on July 3rd, 1944 and was the son of the late Marvin Edward (Bus) and Dorothy Mae Hager Perdue. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two nieces, Carrie Perdue and Cindy Blankenship; and a brother-in-law, J.D. Blankenship.

David was an avid NASCAR and Virginia Tech football fan and loved hunting.

Left to cherish his memory are a sister, Sue Blankenship; and a brother, Lee Perdue, both of Narrows; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9th, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Terry Mays officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in the Wolf Creek Community near Narrows.

The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider the Giles County Relay For Life to benefit the American Cancer Society.
