Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lizzie Sims, 65, of the Elora community, were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Elora Baptist Church. The Rev. Howard McGehee officiated, and burial was in the Elora Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Sims died October 22, in the Lincoln County Hospital. She was a native of Marshall County, Ala., a daughter of the late K. B. and Gertrude Norton Buchanan. Her husband, Robert Sims, died in 1952. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sudva Sharp of Elora; four sisters, Mrs. Jess Benson of Winchester, Mrs. Richard Simmons of Flintville, Mrs. Aurean Payne of Belfast, and Mrs. Neppie Lois Patton of Monteagle; four brothers, D. C. Buchanan of Guntersville, Ala., D. S. Buchanan of Flintville, Hollis and Herschel Buchanan, both of Chicago, Ill.; and one granddaughter.
