This William Jack is the son of the Honorable William Jack who served as Congressman for the 27th Pennsylvania District. His mother was Harriet Easton Jack Kuhns. He is also the grandson of William Jack (1752-1821), early judge in Westmoreland County and Revolutionary War General. The grandfather was responsible for the early development of the city of Greensburg and for the inception of St. Clair Cemetery
