Sterling Tucker, 77, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street. Gary Dale Smith will officiate.

Sterling was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas.

He married Patricia Barry in 1957.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1953 - 1957.

He was a real estate broker for the Big Country area for forty years.

He loved animals of all species.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by one son, Doug Tucker of Abilene; Three daughters: Brenda Jones and husband, Vic, of Abilene, Lori Wood and husband, Steve, of Austin, and Shelly Mitchell of Abilene; Six sisters, Six Grandchildren, and Six Great-Grandchildren.
