Edna Bernice (Wilson) Flanagan, 73, died at 8:40 PM Sunday, Jan. 15, 1989, in Home Hospital; she had been ill for a year. Born Dec. 12, 1915, in Lafayette, she was a life resident. Her marriage was on May 14, 1931, in Danville, IN, to William H. Flanagan, who died Dec. 26, 1965. Mrs. Flanagan had worked in housekeeping at the Purdue Memorial Union for 25 years, retiring in 1977.

Surviving are four stepdaughters, Marie Andrews, Tag Miller, Tootie Halsema, and Mara Lee Kirk, all of Lafayette; a stepson, William Flanagan of Monticello; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Shoaf and Mrs. Dorothy Shoaf, both of Lafayette; a grandson, reared in her home, Larry Minardo of Lafayette; 17 other grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Service Jan. 19, Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Kent Stenzel officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
