Michael E. Rinaldi, 70, of Scott NY, passed away November 4, 2012 at home with family by his side.
Mike was a graduate of Cortland High School and continued his studies at Los Angeles City College, Los Angeles, C.A. He then served with the United States Navy from 1962-1966. He retired from Minuteman Trucking and most recently was employed at Walmart. He enjoyed tending to his yard and designing the land around his home which included, fruit trees, lilacs, and many evergreens, but most of all enjoyed his family.
He is survived by his wife Kristen Rinaldi of Scott NY, his daughters Kolleen Oldenburg of Boston, Mass., Kelley Rinaldi of Florida, his son John Rinaldi of New York City, NY, his sister Joan Rinaldi of Ft. Myers Fla., brother in law Neil Grinnell of Scott, NY, grandchildren Michael, Lauren, Beth, Anthony, Alexandra, Kevin, Aryan, and Ariana, nieces and nephews.
Mike was predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Rose Ann Rinaldi, his children Kathy and Daniel, and his sister Nancy Grinnell.
A calling hour will be held Monday 9:30 -10:30 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, Cortland. Burial will follow at the Scott Union Cemetery.
