Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Friday, July 7, 1961:
   David Lester Patton, who was born June 29 to Sgt. and Mrs. Ronald F. Patton, died the following day at the Ft. Gordon Army Base Hospital, Augusta, Ga.
   Friends may call at the Schneider funeral home here after 12 noon Sunday until the 2 p.m. services. The Rev. C.F. Grigsby will be in charge. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
   Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. David L. Patton of Edwardsville, and the maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Sherer of Alton.
