She was born on August 6, 1923, in Cambridge, Idaho, the daughter of Edsel H. and Edith Emma Egan Christensen. She attended schools in Downey, Idaho.
She married Lester Moroni Wilson on September 24, 1940, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Lester passed away on March 20, 1977. She married Clarence Mariano on September 19, 1980, in Pocatello, Idaho. Clarence passed away on March 19, 1998.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Primary, Junior Sunday school, Young Women's, Relief Society counselor, visiting teacher and ward librarian.
She worked at AMI. She loved to golf. She enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing and hunting.
Della is survived by two sons, Lester J. (Patricia) Wilson, Salt Lake City, UT, and John E. (Korena) Wilson, Hyrum, UT; four daughters, Edith Mariel Pilgrim, Idaho Falls, ID, Doris Neiwirth, Rockford, ID, Deanne (Michael) Wolfe, Pingree, ID, and Teresa (Kevin) Boyer, Pocatello, ID; five brothers, Don E. Christensen, Pocatello, ID, Jay H. (Yvonne) Christensen, Pocatello, ID, Delbert E. (Deanne) Christensen, Highland, UT, Doyle H. (Pam) Christensen, Meridian, ID, and Earsel H. Christensen, Puyallup, WA; four sisters, Melva (Don) Christensen Beck, Yuma, AZ, Betty L. (Robert) Tomlinson, Pocatello, ID, Eileen McGinn, Orem, UT, and Patricia A. (Terry) Nelson, Monroe, UT; 30 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, Rasmus H. and Nancy M. Bennett Christensen, George E. and Minnie E. Hope Egan, two brothers, Arvon E. Christensen, Thain G. Christensen, one sister, Sharon Colton; one great-grandchild, Xavier Wolfe
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Ward Chapel (East Chapel Street), with Bishop Timothy Stronks of the El Rancho Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, Idaho.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., 208-232-7199.
