Mary Ramsey Bell, of Solvang, died October 30, 2012.
Mary Bell was born October 31, 1917, in Blythe, England, migrating to the United States of America at the age of five. She enlisted in the US Army WAC's (women's army corp)and served as a major in the Canal Zone during WW II. Mary graduated from UCLA Nursing School in 1952 under the GI Bill. She was a public health nurse in public education healthcare system. Mary lived in Woodland Hills, CA and retired to Santa Ynez Valley in 1984. She is survived by three nephews; Jay, Jack, and Richard Harrison, and their families. Mary was predeceased by her parents and her sister Ella Harrison of Solvang.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00 Pm at the Loper Funeral Chapel in Ballard. Private internment at Oak Hill Cemetery.
