Laurel Robert Morgan, 69, of Route 1, Whiting, died at his home on June 2. He was born on August 4, 1912, at Whiting, the sone of George Franklin and Bertha Holmes Morgan.
Laurel had lived most of his life in the Whiting community where he was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Holton.
He married Geraldine Schuetz on March 16, 1941, at Holton and she survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Dyana Morgan of Topeka, and two sons, Jerry Morgan of San Francisco, California and Dale Morgan of Hutchinson; one sister, Mrs. Vera Parrett of Topeka; and three brothers, Clare Morgan on Iona, Missouri, Carroll Morgan of Topeka, and Lyle Morgan of Tacoma, Washington.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 4, at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Holton.
