Larry Joe Sawyer of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Frank and Norma Jean (Smith) Sawyer on November 9, 1950 in Kermit, Texas and passed from this life on November 3, 2012 at his home at the age of 61 years.

Shortly after that time, Larry was hired on with Lone Star Gas Company. During his thirty-seven years of service to the company, Larry and his family lived in Texas.

After illness forced his retirement, he and Sandy moved to Katie, Oklahoma and made their home there in 2000. Larry loved the natural gas industry and he has said it was very good to him and his family.
