Janet Willes Bergen August 30, 1934 - July 17, 2008

Former Resident of Concord In loving memory of Janet Bergen, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born August 30, 1934 in Richfield, Utah and raised in Spanish Fork, Utah. Jan also spent several years raising her family in Concord, Calif. and her remaining years in Placerville, Calif.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Bill Bergen, her nine children, Cathy Billett, Bill Bergen, Eric Bergen, Sheri James, Carl Bergen, Kelly Bergen, Tami Bergen, Wendi Martinez, and Angela Sackett, twenty grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by Kady Willes Wade of Nephi, Utah and Iris Willes Roach of Mt. Pleasant, Utah along with many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Nona Willes, Arda Willes Chapple and Arthur Lynn Willes; her first husband, Kenneth Sackett; and her daughters Paricia Sackett and Deanna Sackett.

Jan possessed an unconditional commitment to her loved ones and we cherished the intimate family times she so graciously shared with us. With her humanitarian spirit and sympathy to those in need, she dedicated her life to the service of others. Her infectious smile and strong will are a couple of characteristics her loved ones will remember her by.

Jan lived a full life working for the Mt. Diablo School District, traveling the world, serving two missions for the LDS Church with her husband Bill, working in both the Oakland and Sacramento LDS Temples, holding positions in the Church including Relief Society President and teacher. She enjoyed taking beautiful photos, baking, crocheting, and ceramics.

In her honor, a service will be held at the LDS Stake Center in Cameron Park, Calif. on Saturday, July 26, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery in Utah.
