Like so many others of the day, she was raised on farms and stock ranches of Texas and South Dakota where she would also spend her adult life.
About 1928, she quit school during or after completing her eighth grade year and continued working the family "stock farm".
She passed away in Sheridan, Wyoming January 20th, 1997.
