Roberta L. Steckline, 91, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at St. John's of Victoria Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Russell to Robert and Nellie (Zimmerman) McKune.
She married Esdore P. Steckline on Sept. 15, 1937, in Russell. He preceded her in death, Sept. 11, 1974. She was a farm wife and worked at Travenol.
Survivors include a son, Gordon Steckline, Hays; three daughters, Carol Steckline, Helotes, Texas; Nancy Maydew, Ames, Iowa; and Joyce Wellborck, Victoria; a sister, Bonnie Schmidt, Russell; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine; burial in Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
