Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Reed was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Hedley to Bill and Opal Reed. He served in the Navy during the Korean War, and he worked as a carpenter. Mr. Reed was a member of Carpenters Union and Sheet Metal Lath Union for many years. He was a Christian.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Kay Reed, and a sister, Patricia Dawn Close.
Survivors include a son, Gary Reed of Amarillo; a brother, Billy Ray Reed and wife Bobby of Lake Jackson; two grandchildren, Colton Miles Reed and Aaron Bass; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels, in care of Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, 600 N. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79105.
