Clifford D. Palmer of Rapid City, S.D., was born September 11, 1904, and died April 23, 1987.
Among survivors are a brother, Clarence Palmer, and a sister, Mildred Swaney, both of Belleville.
Funeral services were held at the Behrens Mortuary in Rapid City on April 25, and at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in DeSmet, S.D., on April 27. Interment was in DeSmet Cemetery.

Clifford D. Palmer, 82, of Rapid City, South Dakota died Thursday, April 23, 1987, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
He was born September 11, 1904, at Chester, NE, to Edson and Lola (Holmes) Palmer. He farmed and did custom combining in the Chester area most of his life.
On August 14, 1926, he married Doris Dry at Chester.
In 1952, they moved to DeSmet, S.D., farming there until he retired in 1982. In 1985, they moved to Rapid City, where he was a resident of the Valley View Highrise.
Palmer was a member of the Christian Church in Chester.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of Rapid City; two sons, Raymond Palmer of Rapid City and Richard of Garden Grove, CA; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Virginia) Hojer of Oldham; a brother, Clarence Palmer of Belleville, Ks; four sisters Mildred Swaney of Belleville, Nellie Fuller of Rolla, MO, Viola Throm of Marysville, KS, and Grace Sterba of Wichita, KS; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.
Services were held in Rapid City on Saturday morning, April 25 and at DeSmet, S.D., on Monday morning, April 27, 10:30 a.m. at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Burial was in the DeSmet Cemetery.
