Ona Caroline "Onie" Pinkerton Caley, a resident of the Crestview Nursing and Convalescent Center, Crestview, Fla., died Dec. 10, 1999. Mrs. Caley was the head bookkeeper for her husband's cheese distributing company in Riverside County, Calif., from 1947-53. After moving to Texas, she worked as assistant manager at several drive-in convenience stores, and was employed as a grocery cashier for the last five years prior to her retirement at the age of 62. She was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Mt. Etna to Newton K. Pinkerton and Clara Stevens Pinkerton. She married Chester Ernest Caley in Mt. Etna. Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Larry B. Caley, Florida, and Gary D. Caley, Nevada; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Penny Sue) Walker, Texas; a brother, Bob Wayne Pinkerton, Huntington; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Cremation was handled by the McLaughlin-Aultman Funeral Home, Crestview, Fla. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Mt. Etna Cemetery, Mt. Etna, Ind.
