Irene Nielsen Boeslund Brewer, 89, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012. She was the fourth child born to Aage Boeslund and Jennie Sofie Nielsen, on September 10, 1923, in Ogden, Utah. Irene attended Weber County High School in Ogden, graduating in 1941. Her father served in the WWI an immigrant from Denmark and she along with her parents watched her brothers go to war during WWII. She was a good seamstress and worked for different companies in Ogden including Defense Depot Ogden sewing for the military.

Irene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in different callings and with her husband as a Temple worker.

Irene married Stanley Ferrin Wangsgaard (deceased), father of her daughter Sharlene Johanna Green (Russell) on June 4, 1941. She was married to Harry Gould Knickerbocker (deceased), father of her children are Jennie Knickerbocker and Harry Knickerbocker on September 22, 1944. They traveled far and wide with the Air Force, including Japan during the Koren Confilct. Later on August 2, 1968, she married Laurel Melvin Brewer and welcomed Laurel Joseph Brewer (Cindy) and Pearl Ann Gibson (Dave) to her family. They had 42 wonderful years together riding their motorcycle, playing bingo and working on their farm in Henefer.

Irene is survived by her brother Russell Boeslund, a son, two daughters, a stepson and stepdaughter, as well as, 20 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her sister Benice and brother's Norman and Vernon.

The family would like to thank Mountain Ridge Assisted Living, memory care unit, and Hospice for Utah for their care and compassion.

A private memorial service will be held at the Walker Mortuary at 45 W 200 N in Morgan, Utah on November 8, 2012. Interment in the South Morgan Cemetery.
