Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel for Kenneth E. Gross, 63, of Lake Milton who passed away Saturday at Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born February 28, 1949 in Warren the son of the late Edward and Mildred (Parsons) Gross. He retired from General Motors Lordstown Plant in 1998 as a member of the skilled trades. Ken attended both Youngstown State and Kent State Universities and was an Army Veteran serving in Vietman. He was a 32nd degree member of the Masons, the Scottish rite. He was also a member and benefactor of NRA, a VFW Member, as well as a member of the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, the Vienna Fish and Game, and the Coon Hunters Club. Among other things, Ken enjoyed target shooting. Ken leaves his wife, the former Terri Gilliam, whom he married May 21, 2012. He also leaves a daughter Lori Chepke and her husband Christopher of Niles, along with their two children Ian and Isabela. He also leaves three stepchildren, Brian Gilliam and his wife Joanna of Warren and their expected son Kenneth due in January, Lisa Gilliam of Warren, and Tammy Chasser of Niles and her daughter Francesca Cavaliere. one brother Thomas Gross and his wife Judith of Kinsman, two sisters, Carol Core of Brooklyn, and Phyllis Flask and her husband Stephen of Champion. He also leaves his niece and nephew, Jessica and Joshua Kistler and great niece Kasey whom he was especially close to as well as several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by one brother Edward Gross Jr.
