Herman L. Reedy, 86, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Herman was born September 9, 1926 in Newcastle to the late Herman Raymond and Clara Mae (Roark) Reedy. He married Dorothy May Baker on December 31, 1948 in Graham. She preceded him in death July 15, 1991. He married Patricia Ann Moses January 19, 1992 in Olney. Herman was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War and was a retired safety engineer for Schlumberger. He was a Past Master and a 50 year member of Young County Masonic Lodge #485 and served as District Deputy Grand Master of the 106th Masonic District of Texas in 1979. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Patricia Reedy of Graham; daughters, Susan Murphy and husband Mike of Rockwall, Sarah Thompson and husband Curtis of Aledo, Shannon Bethune and husband Johnny of Mineral Wells, and Shawn Smith of Graham; sons, Mark Lisle and Susan of Graham, Mike Lisle and wife Lanette of Azle, and Matt Lisle and wife Kathy of Elbert; sister, Marie Crumpton and husband Wayne of Graham; brothers, Eddie Reedy and wife Doreen and Russell Reedy and wife Cookie both of Graham; 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister, Maxine Joplin.
