SOUTH END MOTHER GONE.
Mrs. Sophronia Goff, one of the best known and most beloved old ladies in the South End, died at her home near Eubank last week, after a five-years' illness. She was 76 years of age, and had been a life long member of the Christian church. Her husband Perry Goff died about five years ago. Two children survive, Thomas Goff, of Danville, and Miss Lizzie Goff, who lived with her mother at the old home place; also three brothers, John Vaught, of Pulaski county, James Vaught, of Macon City, Mo, and Green Vaught, of Mercer county, and a sister, Mrs. Jno. Dollins, of Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services were conducted at the old Union church Friday.
