                                                       Melissa Hollandsworth

     Melissa Hollandsworth Hunt, 51, passed away Oct. 28, 2003, in CAMC
General Hospital, Charleston, following a brief illness.
     Born Sept. 12, 1952, in Beckley, she was a daughter of the late Dennis
E. and Bertha Poloski Hollandsworth. She was also preceded in death by
her maternal grandparents, Mary and John Poloski; and paternal grand-
parents, Ida and John Hollandsworth.
     Melissa was a longtime employee of the Division of Natural Resources
Law Enforcement Section, a faithful member of Hinton Gospel Tabernacle,
where she was saved and baptized in 1999, a volunteer for the Make-a-Wish
Foundation, a member of the Beckley Junior Woman's Club and foster
mother for the 19 state conservation officers stationed in District 4.
     Those left to mourn her passing include her husband, Cpl. C. D. "Charlie"
Hunt of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Law Enforcement
Section; beloved son and his wife, Eric Johnson and April Showalter; grand-
children, Isabelle and Chloe of Charleston; two stepdaughters, Charlene
Hunt of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Ginger Hunt of Sissonville; one stepson, Charles
Warren Hunt of Charleston; four stepgrandchildren, Joshua, Amanda and
Jacob Hunt and Cody Oxley; one brother, John Hollandsworth of Bryans
Road, Md.; two sisters and their husbands, Denise and Miles Matthews of
Punta Gorda, Fla., Eugenia and Bruce McClung of Beckley; several nieces
and nephews, including Christa Jackson, Felicia McClung, Mark McClung,
Jessica Hollandsworth and Jason Hollandsworth; and many dear friends.
     Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor,
Hinton, with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Calfee
Cemetery, Mount Tabor, Raleigh County.
     Friend may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Ronald Meadow Funeral Par-
lor, Hinton.
     West Virginia state conservation officers and members of the West Virginia
State Police will serve as pallbearers.
     Donations may be made in Melissa's name to Make-a-Wish, 623 Lee St. W.,
Charleston, WV 25302.
