Herbert Earnest Newberry, age 65 of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Monday, November 05, 2012 at his home. Born June 14, 1947 in Tazewell County, Virginia he was the son of the late Earnest and Juanita Pruitt Newberry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Jettie, Pearl and Virginia Lee Newberry.
He is survived by his children, Edward Newberry, Herbert E. Newberry, Jr., David Newberry and wife Heather and Tricia Barrett all of Raven, VA; four sisters, Barbara Boyd and husband James of Paintlick, VA, Elaine Propst and husband Billy of Raven, VA, Nellie Zahradnik and husband Junior of Murfreesboro, TN and Carol Vance and husband William of Portsmouth, VA; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Elder Roger Fuller, Elder Garnell Gilbert and Elder Jimmy Counts officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday with a service on Wednesday at 7 P.M. with Elder George Ben Combs, Elder Cad Stacy and Elder Jim Duty officiating at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
