ABINGDON, Va. Nancy Virginia Graham Humphrey, age 92, departed this life on Nov. 2, 2012, for her journey home. Nancy was born Nov. 28, 1919, in Washington County, Va. She was a member of the Cleveland Presbyterian Church, where for many years the church was graced with her beautiful flower arrangements. She was the sixth daughter of Ollie O. Graham and Virginia Lowry Graham. She was a life-long resident of Washington County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell Hunter Humphrey; her daughter, Marguerite Humphrey Triplett; her parents, Ollie O. Graham and Virginia Lowry Graham; sisters, Sallie G. Davis, Lucille G. Clark Mosley, Frances G. King, Susie G. Hockett, and Carolyn G. King; and brother, John R. Graham. Survivors include her son George H. Humphrey and wife, Suwanna; her daughters, Virginia "Gin" Humphrey of the home, Anita H. Thayer and husband, Robert; son-in-law, Dockie Triplett; sister-in-law, Frances Trent; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Cleveland Presbyterian Church, with Pastors Keith Cobb and Paul Ketron officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Graham, John Kelly Clark, Wayne King, Dan King, Hunter Thayer and Shane Thayer. The family will receive friends at the Frost Funeral Home from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
