She was born outside Neola, Iowa on February 12, 1917, to the late Lloyd and Jesta (Bratches) Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. Johnson; daughters, Beverly Jane Manhart and June Wyland; brothers, Virgil Thomas, Stanley Thomas; sisters, Hazel Peters, MarianEllerbeck and Betty Christians.
Louella is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Melvin Torneten; brother, Don Thomas; grandsons, Kevin Torneten and Curt Wahle; 6 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Merle Ellerbeck.
