KEGLEY — Johncie Mae Wimmer, 82, of Kegley died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Princeton Health Care Center. Born May 23, 1930 in Idewild, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Cora "Granny" Collins Eller.
She was a member of Kegley United Methodist Church. She volunteered at Southern Hills Rehabilitation Center in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wimmer; one son, David Wimmer; five brothers, Jack Eller, Wade Eller, Claude Eller, Thurman Eller and Lloyd "Tud" Eller and two sisters, Hazel Martin and Ruth Mabe.
Survivors include four children, Anthony Wimmer of Kegley, Robert Thompson of Princeton, Martha Bowman of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Mary McBride of Walnut Cove, N.C.; one brother, Homer Eller and wife Mildred of Rock; one sister, Betty Harless of Bluefield and special friends at Princeton Health Care Center; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. C. T. Lilly officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Monday, November 5 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
